Dean hires some of the finest musicians I have ever worked with. They enjoy their jobs, feel well taken care of, and give 100% all the time. His impressive organizational skills and attention to detail are matched only by his kindness and effortless leadership. Dean is also an exceptional musician and a wonderful colleague.

The Last Ship is primarily a play about community; it was important that all of us telling the story formed our own community of spirit and common purpose. Dean understood this implicitly, both as musician (he stood in as drummer on a number of occasions) and in the musicians he selected for our ensemble as music coordinator. I couldn’t have been happier.
